Review: Super Love by Stephanie Beck

Super Love is the first book in a new series from Stephanie Beck called Justice Fraternity Chronicles.

Dinah (Dinah-Go) was a retired super heroine! However her old team didn't let her stay that way for long. And not just anyone returned for her. Myles (Man of Wonder) - old lover - returns for her with a very heated reunion.

Dinah-Go steps back into her roll fairly quickly, which I'd imagine is the way it works if you have the talents that these characters have. The bad guys -- or should I say gals -- are known right off the bat. Which I liked because it helped build up the anticipation of the black moment of the story.

This story flows well. Its packed with action - super hero action - and heat. Man, Ms. Beck wrote some vividly steamy scenes. This isn't my first Stephanie Beck book and I know it won't be my last. Her intimate scenes are very visual in her description, which I like.

If you're looking for something a little different, I recommend this one. You will devour it in no time and walk away feeling like you're ready to take on the world. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

1. What genre do you write? – Romance and erotic romance… with the hopes of adding romantic suspense in the near future. ;)

2. Please tell us about your latest release All Access and how you came up with the idea? - All Access is the first book in the Brothers of Rock series, following rock band Chasing Cross. Each book focuses on one band member. The books can be read as stand alones but the series is best to read in order! The idea came from me wanting to write about a band after the music is done. After the records are recorded. After the concerts are played. Basically, what happens in their normal lives?

3. Is it part of a series? – Yes. All Access is book one in Brothers of Rock.

4. A must have snack while you write. – Oh… I’m usually stuck between M&M’s and Wheat Thins! Talk about a contrast - lol

Hearing Loss Awareness Month!

The month of May is Hearing Loss Awareness Month. I'd like everyone to take a moment...not just now, not just this week or even this month, but try to remember throughout the year, that millions of people throughout the United States have hearing loss.

Some tips for the hearing world:

-The next time you speak to someone in a public place and they don't acknowledge you, don't just automatically assume they're being rude. Stop a minute and ask yourself, "Did they hear me?" Maybe they have hearing loss. Hearing loss isn't a visible illness. You don't SEE it. Hearing aids can be well hidden.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and three kids. We have a black lab who sleeps under my chair while I work and write. The cat rules the upstairs - no dogs allowed. I work from home for my day job. I'm a cable systems design engineer. Basically, I draw schematics for cable systems. My daughter likes to say mommy draws pictures and writes stories for a living.

I like to garden. We moved into our new house last year, and I've finally had time to put in the garden, though it's still a work in progress. The apple tree bloomed beautifully and I hope to have apples this fall. The roses are gorgeous. Can't wait for the bushes to fill out. The daylilies and dahlias are blooming in a profusion of color.

With Back To You, I started with the central location of an idyllic little town called Unity, and worked out from there. I wanted to write a story where one of the characters, in this case, Nick Lincoln, is coming out of a long term relationship and trying to restart his life after being with the same woman for twenty years. Then along comes his first and real love, Lynsey Reznor, who is now extremely successful and single.

Romantic Suspense. I prefer action with my romance. This gives me the outlet to put mystery, action, fighting and guns into my books while keeping it hot and sexy.

Tucked In (The Hollywood Files) is my newest series. It was actually partially me and partially my publishing agent who came up with it. We were looking for a void to fill. There are so many paranormal and western, historical romances out there. We wanted to do something different while keeping in my genre I prefer.

Review - Under Her Spell by Eliza Daly #giveaway

This was a very entertaining read. I loved it. The cast of characters in this book will keep you entertained from page 1 to the end. And of course the hero Reed was totally swoonworthy. I loved him and the way he made Monica feel. The author does a splendid job on portraying Monica's emotions whenever Reed is around. There were moments in this book that even my heart did a flip. Especially the scene with the mime. Wow.

This authors writing is easy to read. The chemistry and romance in this story is an A+. I will be looking for more from this author and I recommend this book 100%. You will smile, laugh, and fall in love during this book as Monica and Reed show one another just what love is!

Review - All Over The Place by Serena Clarke

Are you looking for a romance that isn't like every other romance out there? This is it. This book is filled with fun, witty humor. I found myself laughing throughout a lot of it. The authors writing was easy to follow and kept me engaged as I read this until the end.

Livi, the main character, was a hoot. She is one of those women you'd love to have as a friend just so she could share some of her stories over a glass of wine.

This isn't your traditional type of romance. So if you're looking for something just a little different, but are still a romantic at heart, I recommend this book. And be prepared to be entertained!
